1.Follow your favorite places to shop on social media

There’s no better way to stay up-to-date on the latest deals than by social media. Whether its Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, follow the social media accounts for all of your favorites now so that you will be the first to know about sales or coupons for Black Friday.

2. Sign up for mailing lists

I know it might be annoying, but taking a couple minutes to sign up for emails could provide you with some serious shopping benefits. A lot of retailers provide their mailing list with exclusive deals or coupon codes. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on these Black Friday deals.

 3. Decide when to shop online vs. in-store

Check to see if stores have their Black Friday prices available online as well. Some stores will run these prices on Black Friday, if not, don’t forget about Cyber Monday! Why would you want to go out and face the crowds when you could shop from your bed?

4. Budget, Budget, Budget

If you’re anything like me, you’re one of the 1,673,487,254,925,095 people who will be out shopping this Black Friday with only $1 to do so. This is why budgeting and saving for holiday shopping is so crucial. Start putting aside a small amount of money each week that you have designated to Black Friday shopping.

5. Take advantage of Apps

Not only should you download the apps for your favorite places to shop, but did you know there are also free apps made solely to aid your Black Friday shopping experience? Apps like DealNews and ShopSavvy can bring all of the latest news on Black Friday deals straight to your phone.

6. Make a list

Organization is key in conquering your Black Friday shopping. Make a list of all the necessary items you need to purchase and all of the stores you want to hit. This will save you time on the big day and also prevent any impulse purchases.

7. Find coupons ahead of time

Before you hit the stores, make sure you’ve found all the possible coupons you could use. You don’t want to realize later that you could have gotten a deal on your purchase if you had spent a little more time coupon hunting. Don’t forget about coupon codes, for all of your online shopping needs!

8. Invest in coffee and snacks

Whether you’re waiting in long lines in the stores or spending hours adding items to your shopping cart online, caffeine and snacks are a necessity to keep your energy levels up and your head in the game for the biggest shopping day of the year.
