Pantone just released their 2017 Color of the Year and OMG it’s….shocking. If you’re anything like me, then you immediately thought “how the heck is that wearable???” Well, I did some research and it turns out there’s actually some pretty cute clothing and accessories in this shade. Pantone describes the color as “refreshing and revitalizing.” The color company also said Greenery symbolizes “new beginnings.” If you want to read more about Greenery and Pantone’s other colors, click here. With the help of Pantone’s pre-made color palettes, I’ve put together 4 outfits for every occasion that include 2017’s fundamental shade, Greenery.
This outfit is seriously #goals. These Ray-Ban sunnies have green frames and lenses, similar to Greenery. They compliment this olive t-shirt and neutral colored pants. Paired with a bold orange bag (Kate Spade, of course) and some BCBGeneration berry colored pumps, this outfit screams city chic.
If you want to get a head start on showing off this shade, I suggest strutting your stuff this New Year’s Eve in a Greenery colored dress. Accessorize with mixed metals by pairing these Rampage silver pumps with a gold Citizen watch and Kate Spade wristlet. For an extra pop of color, wear a bold lip that will compliment your jewelry.
Springtime is always full of flowers and sunshine, but not without a little rain first! Stand out in the stormy weather in a Greenery colored raincoat and Hunter rainboots in a fun color. Pack your cell into this cute little Michael Kors crossbody that’s a similar shade to your Fossil watch.
This last outfit is my personal fave. This skirt matches the Greenery shade perfectly and makes a bold statement in this monochromatic outfit. Using pops of color in the same color family (like this Fossil wristlet) makes this look fun and flirty. Keep it polished with some blue-gray tones from these Rebecca Minkoff pumps and DKNY watch. You’ll literally be a GIRL BOSS when rocking this. Don’t forget to add your favorite desk accessories, like this Kate Spade Greenery colored notebook. It literally says “The Grass is Always Greener” and if that doesn’t scream Greenery, then I don’t know what does.
I hope I’ve convinced you that Greenery is wearable and can be styled for any occasion! Let me know what you think about Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year in the comments below!
